Privacy Policy
Mevak Real Estate, LLC (“Mevak,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through mevakrealestate.com (the “Site”), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to the Site and to our direct communications with you. One fact frames everything below: the Site is informational. No transactions or payments are processed here, and no financial accounts are opened or held. The Site exists so an owner can reach us.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. Your name, email, phone number, a property address or folio number, and any message you submit. There are two places you can do that: the contact form, which a “Get the Read” link opens with the subject filled in, and the email signup field. Each collects only what it shows.
- Information we collect automatically. Standard log and analytics data: IP address, browser type, device type, approximate location, and the pages you view. We use it to understand and improve the Site, not to identify you personally.
- Information we do not collect. We do not ask for, and you should not submit, financial account numbers, government identifiers, or other sensitive personal information through the Site.
Cookies & tracking technologies
The Site sets no cookies. It uses no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, and no third-party trackers, so there is nothing here to accept or decline. While you are on the Site your browser keeps a short list of the pages you have opened during that visit, in session storage that your browser clears when you close the tab. If, and only if, you choose to send us a form, that list is sent with your message so we can see what you were reading when you decided to write. It records pages, never your identity, and it is never used to recognize you on a later visit. Our contact database runs on a third-party customer relationship management platform, which receives what you submit and nothing else. Some browsers send “Do Not Track” signals; because the Site does not track visitors, there is nothing for those signals to switch off.
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry and provide the brokerage services you ask for, including preparing the property information you request.
- To send you what you signed up for, plus periodic market updates if you opted in.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site.
- To keep the records Florida law and our license require, and to comply with legal obligations.
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not give your phone number or email to third-party marketers. We share information in only four situations:
- Service providers who run parts of our operations under confidentiality obligations, such as our forms, customer relationship management, email, and analytics providers.
- A cooperating broker or transaction professional (title, inspection, lending, appraisal) when that is necessary to advance a transaction you have asked us to pursue.
- The MLS, where listing data is involved.
- Courts, regulators, or law enforcement, when required by law or to protect our legal rights.
We use no third-party analytics service. We read our own web server's records, which the server keeps as a normal part of serving pages. A current list of the service providers we use is available on request.
Calls, texts & email: your consent
Sending the contact form asks us to reply, and we will answer by email. That is the whole basis we need to respond to you, and it does not depend on either consent box.
The form carries two separate boxes, both optional, both unchecked, and neither required to submit:
- Calls and texts about your inquiry. Checking it lets us call or text you about the property or question you wrote in about.
- Miami market updates. Checking it lets us send you periodic market notes.
They are separate on purpose: wanting a phone call about your building is not the same as wanting a newsletter, and you should not have to accept one to get the other. Checking either box is your written consent to receive those messages from Mevak, including messages sent using automated technology, consistent with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and the Florida Telephone Solicitation Act (FTSA, § 501.059, Florida Statutes, as currently in effect). Leaving a box unchecked gives no consent for that kind of message, and we record that you declined. That consent belongs to Mevak alone: we do not sell or transfer it. Consent is not a condition of receiving any service. Message and data rates may apply. You can withdraw consent at any time: reply STOP to any text, use the unsubscribe link in any email, or write to us. We will honor the request within 10 business days, as the law requires.
Your privacy rights
Wherever you live, you may ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to stop marketing to you, by emailing info@mevakre.com. We will verify that the request is yours, acknowledge it promptly, and respond within a reasonable time. If your state’s privacy law grants you additional rights, we will honor them as the law provides.
Data retention & security
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as long as Florida brokerage record-keeping rules require, and then delete it. We protect it with reasonable administrative and technical measures, and if a breach affecting you occurs, we will notify you as Florida law (§ 501.171, Florida Statutes) requires. No method of transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, and we do not promise otherwise.
Children
This Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Visitors outside the United States
Many of the owners and buyers we work with live outside the United States. Information submitted through the Site is processed and stored in the United States, and by submitting it you consent to that transfer. United States law, not the law of your home country, governs our handling of it.
Third-party sites
Links on the Site lead to third-party websites whose privacy practices are their own, and this policy does not cover them. Nothing is embedded on the Site from a third party today; if that changes, this section will say so.
Changes & contact
We may update this policy as the Site and the law evolve; the “last updated” date above always reflects the current version. Questions, or a privacy request? Contact Mevak Real Estate, LLC at info@mevakre.com.
