Accessibility Statement
Mevak Real Estate, LLC (“Mevak,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) wants everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to use mevakrealestate.com (the “Site”). That follows from the same principle as our Equal Housing Opportunity commitment: the information we publish about property should be equally available to everyone. It reflects the goals of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Fair Housing Act’s promise of equal access to housing opportunity.
Conformance status
We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and we are working toward WCAG 2.2. This Site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA: most of the Site meets the standard, and some parts do not yet fully conform. We say “partially” because that is the honest word, and the section below tells you where the limits are.
Measures we take
- Semantic structure. Real headings, landmarks, and labelled navigation and controls.
- Text alternatives. Descriptions for meaningful images, with decorative graphics hidden from screen readers.
- Keyboard operability. Full use of navigation, forms, and interactive sections without a mouse.
- Color and motion. Brand palette checked against WCAG contrast ratios, and reduced-motion preferences respected.
- Ongoing review. New pages and features checked against these criteria as the Site grows.
Known limitations
Two parts of the Site are not fully under our control. A few embedded services, such as our forms provider, are built by third parties, and we work with what those vendors provide. Some documents offered for download were produced outside the Site and may not be fully tagged for screen readers. In either case, ask us and we will help you directly, or provide the content in an accessible format.
Alternative access, in two languages
If any part of the Site is difficult for you to use, contact us and we will work with you directly, in English or Spanish, by email or phone.
Tell us about a barrier
If you encounter a barrier, tell us where it happened and what assistive technology you were using. We will work to fix it and to get you what you came for, and we will respond promptly.
How we assess
We assess the Site by self-evaluation: keyboard-only passes, screen-reader checks, and automated contrast and structure testing, repeated as the Site grows. Accessibility is ongoing work, and this statement is reviewed and updated as the Site changes; the date above always reflects the current version.
